The Firm
Strategy cannot produce results by itself.
Organizations require aligned leaders, capable people, and operating conditions that make execution possible. Bardlette & Company exists to help strengthen that system.
We are a People + Organizational Performance firm. That framing is deliberate: the work is not limited to developing leaders, and it is not detached from how the organization actually runs. It sits where the two meet.
Why We Exist
The gap between strategy and results is a people and organizational problem.
Bardlette & Company was established to work on a problem that most organizations recognize immediately: a sound strategy that is not producing what it promised. Not because the thinking was wrong, but because the conditions required to deliver it were never aligned or strengthened.
Our position is that performance requires alignment — leadership, people, priorities, ownership, processes, systems, structure, capacity, and accountability all supporting the outcome the organization says matters. Where that alignment exists, capability compounds. Where it does not, capability is consumed.
So the firm works in whatever mode the outcome requires. We may advise, diagnose, design, facilitate, strengthen capability, support implementation, or help execute. We align what exists, strengthen what matters, and build what is missing — in that order, because it respects what an organization has already invested.
The discipline underneath all of it is simple and non-negotiable: clarity before activity.
Founder
Delilah Bardlette, Founder
Delilah Bardlette founded Bardlette & Company after approximately 30 years of large-scale leadership experience, including service as a Managing Director at United Airlines.
Her perspective spans leadership, workforce, operations, organizational performance, and executive development. It was formed in environments where plans meet schedules, constraints, regulation, and thousands of people — where the distance between a decision and a delivered result is visible every day.
That is the perspective the firm is built on: senior enough to sit in an executive conversation, operational enough to know what the organization can actually carry, and direct about the difference between activity and progress.
